Enttäuscht zeigte sich der Forscher hinsichtlich der Reaktion der jeweiligen Routerhersteller wie Nokia, Extreme oder Juniper, zu denen er Kontakt aufnahm, um sie über die Schwachstelle zu informieren. Die Unternehmen seien zum Großteil schwer erreichbar oder gar nicht an einer Problemlösung interessiert gewesen.
