The white cultivar(s) (I know only 1 tho) of #borage are excellent for somewhat shadier spts. Put em near #composting, to soak up leaching nutrients and grow useful biomass.
In maximum sun, the flowers also easily wilt and turn brown. In subdued or partial lighting, with plenty moisture and nutrients, the plants will grow luxuriously and the white flowers will shine like stars. A good choice for places one wouldn't usually think of growing borage.

With the green parts not safe to eat at all, the flowers are the one food use you'll want anyway.

If you want the minerals for health, make a proven safe extract, don't consume raw. I wouldn't make a borage extract if it's not certified organic and from clean soil you 100% trust, Borago and its entire clade all the way to Phacelia are pretty indiscriminiate about the trace elements they collect. One does not want cadmium
or lead in their micronutrient shot.
