Al Gough et Miles Millar élargissent leur horizon
Les créateurs de la série à succès Wednesday, qui reste la série anglophone la plus regardée sur Netflix avec plus de 252 millions de vues pour sa première saison, développent désormais un nouveau projet animé. Selon Deadline, ce projet est basé sur Grim, une série de comics d’horreur et de fantasy publiée par Boom! Studios et signée par Stephane Phillips et illustrée par Flaviano.

Un projet ambitieux pour un public adulte
La série animée à venir se concentrera sur Jessica Harrow, une nouvelle Faucheuse chargée d’accompagner les âmes vers l’au-delà. Amnésique sur sa vie précédente, Jessica doit démêler les mystères de son existence et découvrir des vérités surprenantes sur elle-même, son univers et sa connexion particulière à la Mort. L’adaptation promet un mélange d’horreur, de fantastique et de mystère, fidèle à l’esprit des comics originaux.

Une équipe expérimentée derrière le projet

Une production de haut niveau
Gough et Millar endossent le rôle de producteurs exécutifs aux côtés de Jennifer Yuh Nelson, réalisatrice superviseure de l’anthologie animée Netflix Love, Death + Robots. Les auteurs des comics, Phillips et Flaviano, seront également impliqués en tant que producteurs exécutifs, assurant une fidélité créative au matériau original.

Une expertise reconnue en animation
Jennifer Yuh Nelson apporte une expérience solide dans l’animation, ayant travaillé sur des succès internationaux tels que Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda et How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.
