"The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read" ini self explanatory yaa.. kayak ngebikin si calon pembaca kudu banget baca ini kalau mau jadi orang tua.

Saya skeptis, apaan dah buku kok gitu banget bikin judul?? Setelah baca sampai halaman 34, lalu teryakinkan sih. Beneran deh buat temen-temen yang baru akan menikah atau akan punya buah hati memang perlu banget tahu isi buku ini.

Key point yang saya dapat dari baca ini sejauh ini adalah: rupanya respon kita membesarkan anak itu kuat sekali dibentuk dari pengalaman masa kecil bagaimana orang tua kita dulu merespon kita.

Kalau beliau dulu sering membentak kita karena menumpahkan minuman, sampai gelas pecah.. maka kemungkinan kita akan meluapkan respon yang sama apabila anak kita menumpahkan gelas sampai gelasnya juga pecah.

Di sini kita menjadi sangat tidak rasional, namun sangat emosional dan secara tidak sadar malah terhubung ke masa lalu.

Lalu bagaimana cara memutus rantai pengasuhan ini? Lebih lanjut baca aja sendiri yaa 😁
