With some books, mostly of the esoteric kind, I don't feel like listing in the #bookspotting hashtag less to highlight them. I guess unsurprising to see some on a flight from Amsterdam to Palermo, where most folks go for vacations to (I'm there for work), but meh...

J.M. Coetzee's "Disgrace" in Dutch translation on the morning commute train to the Hague. #bookspotting

(Coetzee is great. Hard to read, but very much worth it.)

An artist (she was drawing some portrait sketches of people on the train before and I chatted with her about the cool pen she was using to do so) reading "Tits up" by Sarah Thornton on the train from Stuttgart to Lake Constance.

This one definitely goes onto my wishlist.

#Bookspotting in Palermo airport, someone reading Terry Pratchett (I could not spot which book but seeing the name on the title page made me smile!) and the guy sitting opposite of me in the waiting area deeply into Alessandro Baricco's "Seta" ("Silk"). Never heard of the author, may take a look :)

#Bookspotting on the regional train to Tübingen - a young man (a student? Or is it just me expecting that anyone going this direction is a student? But he is also wearing a Yale hoodie...) reading David Mitchell's "Black Swan Green".

Which reminds me that I still need to read "Cloud Atlas", I liked the movie a lot.

Both not books (or authors) I find interesting, but it's a good reminder how little I know of literature from Spain.

Two more #bookspotting books from the London metro yesterday - somewhere between Camden market, natural history museum, Daunt books Marykebone and Theatre Royal Drury Lane:

* Garrett M. Graff "The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11" (Kinda strange to think that for many 9/11 is not part of their experience anymore, though the lady reading the book was my age, so it was part of hers)

* Richard Carlson "Stop Thinking, Start Living: Discover Lifelong Happiness" (nope for me)

#bookspotting on the London metro (where my friend's original idea to spot books and get inspired was born): "The Manager's Path" by Camille Fournier

Some kind of guide from engineering roles into tech management roles. Not sure whether this is a good one but I can tell that it's definitely an often necessary one.
