When the bus arrives in a village, town or camp, the team usually spends several hours with the children. A visit might begin with a group storytelling session, followed by drawing, handicrafts or reading, before ending with a puppet show or educational games. The format is deliberately simple, but the response can be immediate.
For these children, the arrival of the bus is an extraordinary event ... when we arrive, we see the atmosphere shift completely; laughter and joy reclaim the space.”

45 years ago when the #Kitchener Public #Library #bookmobile came to my neighbourhood on Wednesdays it was my favourite place to be. A little sad to see one of the great old ones decaying out behind @manitou.takeout like this. 😢 In my hyperlexical📖📚 child's mind they will always be as powerful as Cthulhu🐙 with all those books to feed my curiosity and imagination.
