  2. I’m a long time user of #librarything but I’m missing some features:

    - A complete and real open source model
    - Handling duplicate properly (it’s the major feature missing in LT)
    - A better integration with the #fediverse and tracking reviews of book

On the other hand, #librarything is great with

    - Book scanning and easy import
    - Minimal UI interface
    - Simple mobile app

Did I miss any new open source book management system?

  7. I've posted in the past about how irritating it is to sift through my #Kindle library thanks to its awful UI and lack of useful filtering/sorting. Are other e-book platforms any better, or are they all bunk? #EBooks #books #reading #BookManagement

  12. /knocks on wood. I have figured out how to make it less painful to reset my #Kindle: copy the documents (minus downloads) + fonts & the #Calibre files to a folder, reset, sign back in then plug into my computer and copy the folders back over. Saves having to remember what I had copied over and to copy it back over via Calibre, and it was smooth as butter resyncing with calibre.
