22ste editie van de Anarchistische Boekenbeurs Gent
De wereld van autoriteit toont zijn lelijkste gelaat. Het is een tijd van de botste machtspolitiek, ongebreidelde plundering van de aarde, onderwerping van het leven aan technologie, digitalisering en economische efficiëntie. We worden geconfronteerd met de ultieme uiting van de brutaliteit van de staat: algemene militarisering en oorlog.
In plaats van ons uit angst of verslagenheid terug te plooien of te kiezen voor het minste kwaad, kiezen we voluit voor onze anarchistische ideeën en antiautoritaire ethiek. Geen knieval dus voor politiek en compromissen maar een zoektocht naar onze mogelijkheden voor autonome strijd met onze drang naar vrijheid als kompas.
In een wereld waarin staatsgeweld en autoritarisme welig tieren, is ons feest van analoog verzet en solidariteit meer dan ooit een noodzaak.
Op de anarchistische boekenbeurs vind je een ruim en divers aanbod aan boeken, publicaties, t-shirts, posters en stickers. Je kan er snuisteren tussen oude romans, revolutionaire klassiekers en nieuwe uitgaven van verschillende distro’s. Van filosofische werken tot strijdvoorstellen.
De boekenbeurs is meer dan alleen een plaats om je boekenverzamelzucht bot te vieren. Het is een plaats van uitwisseling en discussie, een plaats waar ideeën, individuen en collectieven elkaar kunnen ontmoeten en vinden in affiniteit.
Zo wordt de boekenbeurs een plaats waar oproepen tot sociale strijd, via discussie en informele ontmoetingen nieuwe inspiratie, zuurstof en dynamiek krijgen.

The world of authority is showing its ugliest face. It is a time of the crudest of power politics, unbridled plundering of the earth, the subjugation of life to technology, digitalisation and economic efficiency. We are confronted with the ultimate expression of state brutality: universal militarisation and war.
Instead of folding back out of fear or defeat, or choosing the lesser evil, we fully embrace our anarchist ideas and anti-authoritarian ethics. No kneeling before politics and compromise, but a search for our possibilities for autonomous struggle, with the desire for freedom as our compass. In a world where state violence and authoritarianism run rampant, our gathering of analogue resistance and solidarity is more necessary than ever.
At the Anarchist Book Fair you will discover a wide and diverse range of books, publications, t-shirts, posters and stickers. Rummage in old novels, revolutionary classics and new editions from various distros. From philosophical works to proposals for struggle.
The book fair is more than just a place to indulge your book-collecting urge. It is a place of exchange and discussion, a place where ideas, individuals and collectives can meet and find each other in affinity. This way the Book Fair becomes a space where calls for struggle, through discussion and informal encounters, find new inspiration and momentum.

We are going to continue the tradition of Anarchist Bookfairs. We invite all the Anarchist/Libertarian and Socialist publishers and artists to present and sell their books, magazines, newspapers, cartoons, crafts, etc and everybody interested to spend the weekend with us, take part in discussions and seminars. The event is open for everyone to attend without prior registration. The details of the programme will come later.
If you want to sell or present your material, hold a lecture, discussion, performance or presentation, please, write to the following e-mail. We have a limited number of tables and time slots, reserve them in advance. The, not-strictly-enforced deadline for booking is April 1st 2026.

ENGLISH BELOW
Anarchistický festival knihy bude letos po delší době jednodenní a uskuteční se v sobotu 23. května 2026 na pražské Štvanici, v prostorách klubů Bike Jesus a Fuchs2.
Již tradičně se na něm představí vydavatelé a distributoři anarchistické literatury nejen z Česka a Slovenska, ale i ze zahraničí. Festival není jen prodejní prezentací knih a literatury. Je především místem setkávání, kde můžete tváří v tvář potkat nejen malé vydavatele a autory, ale i nejrůznější organizace, kolektivy a uskupení z širšího okruhu antiautoritářského hnutí. Místem, kde se lze seznámit s lidmi z masa a kostí a poznat tak organizace a kolektivy jinak, než z prohlášení na webových stránkách, místem, kde lze navázat nové vztahy a přátelství, místem, kde lze domlouvat nové projekty a spolupráci.
Na bookfair naváže hudební program v klubu Bike Jesus.

This year, after some time, the Anarchist Bookfair will be a one-day event and will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Štvanice in Prague, in the premises of the Bike Jesus and Fuchs2 clubs.
As usual, publishers and distributors of anarchist literature not only from Czechia and Slovakia, but also from abroad will be present. The festival is not just a sales presentation of books and literature. It is primarily a meeting place where you can meet not only small publishers and authors face to face, but also various organizations, collectives, and groups from the wider anti-authoritarian movement. It is a place where you can meet real people and get to know organizations and collectives in a different way than from statements on websites, a place where you can establish new relationships and friendships, a place where you can discuss new projects and collaborations.
The bookfair will be followed by a music program at the Bike Jesus club.
