Sculptures With Great Creativity (10 Photos)
From fragmented travelers in France to figures breaking free from a wall in Philadelphia, these sculptures explore movement, escape, and transformation. Willow archers stand hidden in the forest, a troll built from recycled wood towers at Burning Man, a building in Milan appears to unzip, and a London park bench turns into the pages of Narnia. More: Overflowing With Emotion (15 Photos) 1. Where? #BookBench
This fabulous Book Bench is in Stromness Library and was designed by pupils in P3 and P4 of the Hope School. The design was inspired by the places books can take you to. The Bench is made up of pages from old books that were in poor condition and couldn't be donated to charity shops. Instead they were repurposed and went into the design of this Bench.

#BookBench at Orkney Library
Image credit Christie Grahame. And just like that a wonderful BookBench appeared in the grounds of Orkney Library in Kirkwall. The BookBench Trail has been produced by Clan Cancer Support and Wild in Art. These beautiful art installations can be found from July – September 2025 across north-east Scotland, Moray, Orkney and Shetland. Each BookBench sculpture is designed by some of the country’s most talented artists.

@Kay First off, one should be rather hesitant about making statements about how one could happily sleep on one from the comfort of one’s own home and cushy bed. Besides that, though, the whole point (no pun intended) is that the examples you give are actually better (if we can use that word in this context at all) because we can see that they’re hostile. There is no decoration there. They shout it with their whole lungs. The #BookBench is far more insidious. It looks friendly but is hostile.
