Rutherford County, #Tennessee has been in the news for its ‘lead’ in the #MAGA cult’s national #BookBanning race.
The chief protagonist in the Board of #Education is #CalebTidwell. Sadly, he was not up for re-election this year. But a fellow #Republican who resisted some of his #BookBan requests was. A #MAGA cult member challenged her and was arrested for stealing political signs during early voting. A surefire way to make sure I read something I am not ‘supposed to’ is to ban me from doing so. That tells me something in that book must be important enough that someone in power doesn’t want me to read or know, so they can stay in control and keep me ignorant.
