    The Irish gov't held a Commission into #tuam and issued a final report 30 October 2020. You can read it here. This happened due to pressure from activists on the Irish government, which is still to this day staunchly influenced, perhaps controlled ,by the church.

  6. ‘A stain on Ireland’s conscience’: identification to begin of bodies buried at a children’s home.

    Between 1925 and 1961, 796 children died at the St Mary’s mother and baby home, run by nuns from the Bon Secours order – but there were no burial records.

    Babies and children were interred in the home’s grounds, many in a septic tank. A team of forensic investigators has been tasked with exhuming, analysing and identifying remains.
