I knew before #bono23 that @rodneyrehm had discovered #paragliding in recent years. What I didn't realise, however, was how incredibly fearless this guy is. I have the utmost respect for it, and I also really enjoyed this trip far away from web and technology topics — albeit without being able to catch my breath.

Once a central driver of the Open Device Lab scene in Germany, today in the #speakAtBono23 carousel: Andre Jay Meissner, who will open #bono23 on Thursday with "All monsters are human" and take a thoughtful look at our industry, society and world. Many things have changed for the go-getting Berlin native and passionate woodworker in recent years. We look forward to catching up with him again, and to his retrospective!

It's hot here in the #bono23 engine room by now. The #speakAtBono23 carousel is also revving up. Our next speaker is very close to my heart, as I have been accompanying her on her way through the digital world for 7 years now. Maya Leyh is 15 years old, part of Generation Alpha, and has a lot to say. We might want to listen in.

My special thanks to @adactio and you'll find out why on Thursday.

2nd stop of our #speakAtBono23 carousel for today: It's really hardly possible to overemphasise the significance @adactio has for border:none and many other of my activities over the last 10 years. Best ask me personally over a soft drink about the background. In any case, it is a great honour to welcome Jeremy back to Nuremberg. On Thursday, we will reveal what heart-warming collaboration Jeremy has agreed to in the run-up to border:none 2023. Rejoice with me!

After a short break, our #speakAtBono23 carousel is spinning again — and we have to hurry to introduce the remaining speakers, because in just 4 days we will already meet in Nuremberg.
With us again: designer, @smashingmag co-founder and Jack of all trades @vitalyf. Whenever we meet, I find Vitaly to be one of the most open, friendly and positive people I know. What a great personal pleasure to welcome him back on our #bono23 stage.

FYI: ~10 tickets left at the moment…

Next up in our #speakAtBono23 carousel: Say hello to Anna Boggon — a versatile multimedia artist serving many genres such as painting, sculpture, video art and installations.
Anna is a freelance lecturer, workshop leader and advisor for prospective art students. At next week's border:none 2023 she will speak about a recent project which is about revisiting past ideas and artworks — in keeping with our 10-year motto. Sounds interesting? 👉🏽

Next up on the #speakAtBono23 carousel: Extremely excited to welcome Molly Barnes (née Watt) to the #bono23 stage in 2 weeks! #Deafblind herself, Molly is passionate about educating people about Usher syndrome and #accessibility in general, not least already at @a11yclub and @btconf. To finally welcome her in Nuremberg is a great, personal pleasure. Whatever part of her rollercoaster life Molly will talk about: It'll be with great passion and conviction, that's for sure!

Bringing Molly Barnes (aka Molly Watt) onto the border:none stage was an important matter for me personally. Even though her topics — #accessibility and #inclusion — are very serious and heavyweight, I don't know anyone else who can convey them with so much enthusiasm and humour. I am extremely grateful that Molly accepted our invitation without hesitation and was the first of the new #bono23 line-up to say yes.

10 years ago, at his #bono13 talk, @vitalyf was struggling with massive technical problems. This time, he delivered an extremely confident, highly informative presentation on a topic that is likely to be very exciting for many teams and projects: How can we measure design performance?
It was a great pleasure to have you on stage again, Vitaly!

She came from the far north to talk about something completely different to everyone else … Dagmar Dahl has an ice-cold hobby: she is a well-known ice swimmer and the first Norwegian swimmer to swim across the Saltstraumen Maelstrom. Where is the connection to other #bono23 talks? See for yourself!

10 years ago, @marcthiele and I couldn't give her a free ticket to border:none 2013. Today, Aya Jaff is so successful that she couldn't accept our invitation to the stage. And yet her message is so powerful. We are happy and truly grateful that Aya could at least be part of #bono23 with this video message.

Master of the overview and cross-connections: @adactio closed the first day of #bono23, which was characterised by very personal stories, with his usual solid, “genuine Jeremy” — and a small return to the origin of border:none, which has almost been forgotten a little: The Web. 😉
You can also find a full transcript of Jeremy's talk on his website: https://adactio.com/articles/20638

Ten years ago, @bastianallgeier was the first to stretch the theme of the original, first border:none conference and ask: "Is this the world I want to see my son grow up in?" In October 2023, @marcthiele and I asked back: "What has become of it, this world?" Bastian has once again honoured us with his contribution, and we are very grateful for it! See and hear yourself:

My colleague Jolanta (https://linktr.ee/jolianta) has a really good eye for the fine details, and I am very grateful that she was also able to capture these wonderful @tollwerk team moments at border:none 2023. Were you at the conference here in Nuremberg at the end of October? Can you find yourself in any of the photos?
