  1. 5:30 AM @ Oct 2 - great time to look back on my reading in 2026 so far.

I haven't been able to read or even listen to audiobooks for a couple of weeks in june/july and I'm só happy that I regained my capability to read and to enjoy it! August and September were good reading months again.

Before I went into the hospital I cleaned up my 'currently reading' stack, which used to be always around 3-5 books. I'm quite enjoying the new habit of reading just the one book at a time. Want to keep that.

Have read little poetry this year, might want to give that some more attention in 2027. I miss it, but I don't need another focus point in my reading at the moment.

So maybe in 2027 one prose at a time, and always a poetry book 🤔 we'll see.

For the coming 3 months I want to:
    - read about the Clearances - 1 book/ month
    - read 3 big books, gonna start a buddyread of 'Revolusi' with my youngest son shortly 🥰
    - read two more books about the neolithic
But most of all: enjoy my reading!

My Top5 reading goals for this year were:
    1) > 15.000 pages ✅
    I'm @ 17.687 and think I'll get over 20.000 this year

    2) 20 books with over 500 pages* ❌✅
11 finished, 2 paused. Don't think I will get beyond 15, if that. So I won't make the number, but the purpose is well served, I've read more really big books than in the last years and enjoyed it. Might want to change this in 1 big book a month next year.

    3) 6 books about megaliths** ✅
This has broadened into 8 books about the neolithic, I read 6 so at 3/4 of the year I'm at 75% - exactly on track.

    4) 5 prompts from the Leftist nonfiction challenge***❌
Haven't paid any attention to this goal yet, read some leftist non fiction, but didn't add them to the StoryGraph challenge and just wasn't into it. Seems still doable and I would like to read some more.

    5) 4 books about Scottish Clearances** ❌
Just read the one up until now. However I remember that this subject is less of a "summer subject" for me, like Scotch is less of a summer drink. I have the books ready in my house and TBR. This one I want to do

During the year I got into "inkpotandpages’ 2026 Literary Cannibalism Challenge" - a decolonial challenge on StoryGraph
    ( app.thestorygraph.com/reading_ )
Not on track at all ( @ 42% + 50% of the bonus ), but very much enjoying it. Read books I've never would have read this year. So quite happy about that ✅
