This #photo, taken during #7ToppsTuren2016, shows the #island #Landegode as seen from #Keiservarden, a #mountain plateau named after #German #Emperor (#Keiser) #WilhelmII who supposedly visited the #mountainPlateau on the 19 July #1899. 'Varden' references the #cairn of stones at the top.
#7ToppsTuren is an annual #hike where participants visit 7 mountain tops. So far I've done the full 7 one (25km) once, and the shorter 3-tops (10km) twice.

On closer inspection, it looked like someone had tried not just one, but several out on their hair, as there were several long hairs twirled around the brush bristles...
Seriously, #WTF?
I can understand you want to know if the bristles have the right firmness and spread, etc, but you don't use a #hairbrush you haven't bought, on your #hair... -

@codewiz here in #Bodø they recently introduced #ebike rental stations. After registering online, you can take out a bike from one of the stands and park them at any of the other rental stands across the city. Haven't used them yet myself, but @Siiw definitely enjoyed their convenience during an #Ingress event where she had to visit a large number of unique portals.
#bikeHelmets weren't much of a thing as I grew up in the #Netherlands, but as traffic increased, so did their adoption.

I'm glad we actually got an advanced notice from #Bodø Kommune this time about them cutting off #water for maintenance, unlike last time.
This time we made sure to have extra buckets of water for flushing the toilet, a drip container for washing hands and some refilled bottles and full kettle for consumption.It's another reminder that we should actually get some jerry cans which are permanently filled with drinkable water, and other #emergencySupplies.

Talking #Dutch with the #DutchCheeseMan at the #InternationalFoodMarket in #Bodø earlier today, kinda makes me wish I knew some other Dutch #expats here with whom I could occasionally talk in my mother tongue.
Sure, his conversation was mostly meant to (successfully) sell me some excellent Dutch #cheese at a price I would likely never have bought it for back in the #Netherlands, but it felt surprisingly good to not just speak Dutch again, but also to hear it.

that sounds really good actually. Being born and raised in the #Netherlands and having moved to #Norway, it still surprises me there are so few #streetfood vendors around, at least here in #Bodø. This place could definitely use for instance a fish stand that's quite common throughout the Netherlands, selling for example brined #herring with pickles, deep fried #kibbeling, a bun with smoked mackerel or eel, etc.
Even just plain snackbars seem far less common over here. -
