TIL that an Apple Watch 8 or Ultra can measure how the temperature of your wrist fluctuates over time during sleep. See Apple Support article linked. Mine was 0.2°C above my normal baseline last night. #AppleWatch #BodyTemperature

General factors for increasing body temperature
The first reason for an increase in body temperature refers to common factors. The main signs of an increase in body temperature are an increase in body temperature above 37 degrees Celsius and sometimes chills.
It is recommended to contact your doctor or the ambulance service. In such situations, high body temperature for more than two days, temperature a child aged 3 to 6 months, measured rectally more than 38 degrees Celsius. -
Overheating can lead to an increase of body temperature
Body temperature may rise in such situations: prolonged exposure to a hot place or exposure to strong sunlight; in children, if they are too tightly dressed. What can be done in case of body overheating (or sunstroke)? Rest in a quiet place; Contact your doctor if your body temperature continues to rise.

I've been thinking a lot about finding that human body temperature has been decreasing since the Industrial Revolution for a while now.
https://elifesciences.org/articles/49555Today I say a post about rising CO2 and wondered what effect ambient CO2 might have on Na/K ATPase. While we are taught that heat is generated in the mitochondrion via futile cycling of protons across the mt. membrane, Na/K ATPase activity also contributes. Ectotherms have lower Na/K ATPase activity than endotherms.
So I wondered if CO2 levels affect Na/K ATPase activity, and I found this -
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7073107/Unfortunately I don't have time to read the article and it may be weeks before I can read it.
CO2 levels have been increasing since the Industrial Revolution, Na/K ATPase activity is reduced by CO2 ( in lung epithelium) - could rising CO2 levels be causing the decrease in body temperature?
It's an interesting idea, but I would have to study a lot more to be able to gauge its plausibility. If there is something to it - it seems like it would be a big deal, just like the decrease in body temperature is, IMO, a big deal.

Research shows that body temperature significantly influences time perception! 🔥 Higher temperatures can speed up our internal clock, making time feel like it's flying by. Conversely, cooler temps may slow it down. 🥶 This fascinating link highlights how our physiology affects our cognitive processes and decision-making. 🧠💡 #TimePerception #BodyTemperature #ScienceFacts

In the future, #wearables will take over the monitoring of body functions as well as record clinical symptoms. These parameters include #heartRate and variability, #bodyTemperature, #bloodOxygen levels, #respirationRate and the concentration of metabolites such as #glucose. Thus, health management of one's body becomes possible, as well as monitoring of endogenous infections. A new review on the topic has been published in #mdpiBiosensors.
