"Turn On Your Love Light" is a #rhythmAndBlues song recorded by #BobbyBland in 1961. It was an important #RAndB and pop chart hit for Bland and has become one of his most identifiable songs. A variety of artists have recorded it, including #Them and the #GratefulDead, who made it part of their concert repertoire.

Vi Campbell: Seven Doors (1966)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMkNMPAYNy0Vi Campbell was a member of the Bland Dolls, the back up vocal group of Bobby Bland, and she also dueted with Bland on "Dear Bobby (The Note)", another great track, which was only issued on one of his albums.
This was her only solo release, with a great brass arrangement by Joe Scott, very similar to the Bobby Bland records from this era.

I have never had any doubts about the musical talents of James Brown, but it's very nice to see him step out of his usual role as Soul Brother Number One and just enjoy himself being in awe of two of his fellow artists. And of course, both Bobby Bland and B.B.King totally deserve it:

@DoctorMad Even better, there is also this live video of O.V.Wright, filmed for a Japanese TV show in 1979, a year before his death. The technical quality is poor, and it seems that he was not in good health, but the performance is absolutely mesmerising.

One of my all-time favorite singers, Bobby "Blue" Bland, and a 1974 live performance from the Midnight Special. It seems that there is no surviving video footage of him from his sixties heydey (please prove me wrong!), so this is probably as close as you can get.
He visited Finland only once, in 1994, and I'm happy to report that I was there and he was still great!
