Sevilla women had a slight early advantage, then trailed by half a boat length under the first bridge, came back and were ahead! but then a major clash of oars which stopped them while Betis managed to keep rowing. They got going again at a boat length behind and never closed it. Betis slowly pulled ahead, then moved in front for the final blow. Another Betis win, 8th straight time for the women.

As seen on The Tim Traveller's latest video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2TfR9_lpmk the 59th annual Sevilla-Betis Boat Race will start today at 11:30 CET (in about half an hour) on the Guadalquivir, well-known winter training water for Dutch and UK rowers. The good kind of rowing between two local football clubs!
