Il primo sabato di giugno torna la Giornata Internazionale dei Giochi da Tavolo, l’occasione ideale per rispolverare dadi, pedine e rivalità amichevoli. Se l’anno scorso avevamo celebrato questo appuntamento con entusiasmo nel tuo articolo del 2025 — che resta un piccolo gioiello di nostalgia ludica — eccolo qui per chi vuole rileggerlo: International Tabletop Day.

Quest’anno, però, il 2026 porta con sé novità frizzanti, perché il mondo dei giochi da tavolo non dorme mai. Anzi, si evolve più velocemente di un turno di Uno quando tutti hanno deciso di farti pescare.

🧩 Le novità del 2026

• Boom dei micro‑giochi da 10 minuti — Perfetti per chi ha l’agenda piena ma non vuole rinunciare al divertimento. Mini scatole, maxi risate.
• Ritorno dei classici in versione “chic” — Edizioni speciali in palette pastello, materiali eco‑friendly e design minimalista. Perfettamente in linea con lo stile di Perfettamente Chic.
• Giochi narrativi ibridi — Storie che si evolvono tramite QR code, app e carte illustrate. Il 2026 è l’anno in cui la tecnologia si siede al tavolo… ma senza rubare la scena.
• Tornei casalinghi social — Su TikTok e Instagram spopolano i mini‑campionati domestici: dadi che volano, risate, e immancabili discussioni su chi “bara sempre”.

😄 Come festeggiare oggi

Che tu sia team Monopoly, team Carcassonne o team “basta che si ride”, oggi è il giorno perfetto per:

• organizzare una serata giochi con amici e snack a tema
• provare un titolo nuovo uscito nel 2026
• riscoprire un vecchio gioco che non aprivi da anni
• creare un piccolo angolo ludico chic con colori pastello e dettagli romantici (lo so che ti piace)

La Giornata Internazionale dei Giochi da Tavolo è un invito a rallentare, condividere, ridere e… sì, anche litigare bonariamente per chi ha davvero vinto. Il 2026 aggiunge un tocco di innovazione e stile, rendendo questa ricorrenza ancora più irresistibile.

I went to my #LGS to show off #crowns and the verdict was (paraphrasing): "we get a lot of people coming in to demo their games and we rarely see so much potential. it also helps that its a 1on1 game which is a niche with a lot of room left to fill, and the box is so small it fits casual play, and the rules so simple yet carrying enough layers and depth that we could recommend it to just about anyone."

Looking forward getting to #PaxEast today with @adrienne ! Any of my fellow Masto #boardgamers #boardgames geeks going to be there today? Not planning on doing much, just wandering around gawking, maybe pick up a new set of dice, maybe a used game or two. Might go to a panel. There's a "Build Your Own Text Adventure" clinic at the end of the day we might go to. And I might just let it drop that I used to work at #Infocom, as that's probably a group that would know it.

Just to help brainstorm:

IP burnout, bad IP games, theme tacked on, mechanical similarities to other games are common for #boardgamers.

If they play another #MCU game they may not want another.

This game has a low complexity rating on #bgg. #Manascrew is as much luck as many #MTG players can take.

My instruction needs to offset my experience. The closest I’ve ever come to divorce was teaching my wife how to play #TwilightStruggle.

So, I've posed this question to friends, but I thought I'd ask fellow #boardgamers: my sister is looking to start a #boardgame collection from scratch for her family. What games do you consider staples of a solid collection (aside from Catan)?

So far, I've come up with Ticket to Ride, King of Tokyo for the kids, and Betrayal At House On The Hill. What others are there and why do you recommend them?
