We played #Pentaquest, #Fliptoons, and #dnup during tonight's monthly gathering of friends virtual game night. We meet up over zoom and play games in private tables on #BoardGameArena.
It's not the same as meeting in person, but it's pretty close and is a nice way to hang out with friends dispersed all over the world. We've been playing #BoardGames, #PartyGames, and #CardGames this way at least once a month since 2020.
Next Friday is our local in-person monthly community game night. -

Achievement get! I'm in first place on the Board Game Arena Hall of Fame - first of the 59 thousanders, at least...
I don't get up to much #boardgamearena these days. I'll check in on the beta titles to see what's incoming, and I generally won't say no to playing something against my partner, but outside of that I just don't engage with it like I once did - tournament participation, long distance get togethers and whatnot. I don't really know why, or when things changed. Something to ponder.

- Fliptoons: Quick playing deckbuilder with some Challengers feels
- Tipperary: Simple tile laying that I find quite satisfying for some reason
- RFTG: a classic. I play 2p advanced with a limited set of expansions
- Wispwood: most recent favorite. Tile laying with some Cartographers vibes. Also available on Yucata. -

Been really enjoying Zenith on BGA. The multi-lane tug-of-war reminds me a bit of Caper Europe. The card powers are simple to understand but interesting and with multiple ways to use the cards there are usually some good options. I hope I will be able to find a physical copy soon.

@morsuapri was die anderen schon sagten: #Boardgamearena. Die Steam-Variante TTS ist 3D und garstig zu steuern. BGA hat sogar saubere Lizenzen für die Spiele soweit ich weiß und just works in den allermeisten Fällen. Die paar Euro kann man den Franzosen dahinter durchaus in die Hand drücken.
BSW ist eher arkan & alt und braucht einen extra Client, BGA läuft im Browser. -
