Как мы делали ГТА на столе: история создания «Войны киборгов»
Свой интерес к созданию настольных игр я открыл в себе еще в институте в 1997 году, когда в общежитии решил придумать интересную тему для библейской вечеринки. Тогда мы смоделировали израильские войны и противостояние филистимлян и мадианитян. Для расчета хода тогда приходилось использовать ноутбук на 386 процессоре. Ход занимал минут 5, в итоге я запутался, и идея провалилась. Следующее озарение пришло ко мне только пару лет назад, когда возникла идея на основе игр бродилок создать мир в стиле киберпанк, где участники будут сражаться за прокачку частей тела. Здесь на обдумывание механики ушло не пару часов, а пару лет.

Imagine playing your very first indoor bowls game, but there is no jack. Everyone simply rolls a bowl towards an imaginary target. Somehow, your experienced opponent seems remarkably confident, while you try to copy what they do and hope for the best. At the end of the first end, someone reveals where the jack had been all along and awards the points accordingly. Then the second end goes in the same fashion, with a target that no one can see. Every end, you know how well you've done, but you never have any hope of getting better. Learning to bowl that way would feel practically impossible because every bowl would be complete guesswork. Surprisingly, some board games seem to want us to learn them in very much the same way.

Horizons of Spirit Island
I have played twice: solo + 2 player.
I definitely prefer Fellowship of the Ring. This is about as complicated but the gameplay isn't as thematic.
It was more relaxing to play this solo. I might play it again this way. I'm not convinced it'll be better multiplayer - but we'll see.

Dune Imperium (2020) &
Konzil der Vier (2015)
Frau hat wirklich einen Lauf. 6. Spiel in Folge, dass sie gewinnt. Bei Dune war es für mich das 5. der letzte Platz in Folge... ich brauche Urlaub! 😎
Abgesehen davon, fing Dune punktesetig eher zäh an, bevor es interessant und spannend wurde.
KdV war nach dem 2. Drittel eine klare Sache, die ich nur noch auf-, aber nicht mehr überholen konnte. Erster Sieg für Frau in diesem Spiel und das auch verdient.
