#boardgame #askFedi come to me. Do you know of any #boardgames that can be be played with 8 (or more) players? I mean “actual” boardgames, i.e. not counting card games (UNO, Set, Swish, Dobble …) or “party games” (Trivial, Werewolf, BANG!, Aye Dark Lord etc).
The only one I can think of is Super Cluedo (Challenge), although arguably Sabouter could fit. Anything else I am missing? (Game need not be played “best” with 8, but should support at least as many.)

Until recently, the GitLab CI configuration of the Dry game engine ran with the deployment target setting at its default 'native' value. Now that this has been changed to 'generic' - and all itch releases have been updated accordingly - our games and tools should run on a wider range of CPU architectures. If you were previously disappointed running into an "exec format error" and didn't want to be bothered with going through the compilation process locally, it's worth giving them another try.
This includes the 3D platformers Tux! and Blip 'n Blup, a rhythmic maze game called A-Mazing Urho, the twin-stick shooter heXon, a board game called Quatter and the vehicular soccer game by the name of Open Saucer - all of which have local multiplayer features - as well as LucKey Park, a theme park construction game and two editors called Edddy and ManaWarg. All are fully free and open source software.

A friend had warned me that a wrong start would botch the entire game. However, for me, the problem was the inability to "read" the game. Worst, I don't think I'll be better next time.

We finally managed to set apart some time today to try and understand #Daybreak; managed to play three rounds before it got too dark to keep playing (we were sitting outside to get some fresh air and the lights weren't working).
An interesting #boardgame, we'll try to play a full game some other time.

I like the theme and the mechanics.
A huge downside: it takes time; time to set up, time to play (~6 hours), and time to put all the components neatly in the box afterwards.

#BoardGame folks: I’m looking for some new-to-me games that meet the following criteria:
- 2 players minimum
- easy to learn
- can be played in under an hour
- co-op or non-competitive if possible -
It's so sad to see more and more Instagram channels look alike in the #boardgame space. The same #AI generated logos. The same AI "enhanced" images of game boxes. Everyone is the same comic character now.
I can't wait for the bubble to pop.
