Black-throated Loon courtship – Von Bo Söderstrom

It took a few years to get a decent recording of Black-throated Loons (Schwarzkehl-Eistauchern) singing. I managed to find the perfect spot to set out the droprig, in fact a bit too close to the place where the loons planned to build a nest. Some very nice courtship calls during this mix of recordings made from late afternoon to mid night. Interestingly enough the loons were this active on the first night of recordings but were all quiet the next night (but still there). The weather was very similar the two nights.
