Hey all 👋🏼 🤗 I've been absolutely swamped at work (an entire month on site, everyday!) but wanted to mention real quick that the #Chicago transit 🚆 🚂 system is facing a massive budget shortfall for 2026!
There is currently NO funding set aside in the '26 #illinois budget to address the crisis facing #Chicgoans who rely on #CTA #metra and #BNSF for work or ridership or both.

An old caboose in someone's side yard on Behrens Street in Napa, about half a mile from the nearest railroad tracks. Why there is a caboose in the neighborhood, I do not know.

Apparently #BNSF is spilling enough grain near Marias Pass that it will self-ferment, thereby acting as a brewery for the local bear (beer?) population.
(BNSF trains are then killing a handful of drunk bears every year, though, which is less amusing).
