Podczas gdy konkurencja nerwowo koryguje plany i wstrzymuje produkcję aut na prąd, BMW świętuje historyczny rekord.

Bawarczycy właśnie wypuścili na drogi dwumilionowy samochód elektryczny. Ten sukces to efekt decyzji, którą kilka lat temu uznawano za ryzykowny błąd: zamiast budować drogie, dedykowane fabryki wyłącznie pod „elektryki”, BMW postawiło na rzadko spotykaną elastyczność.

Dingolfing: serce bawarskiej produkcji

Jubileuszowym modelem, który symbolicznie domknął drugi milion, została sportowa limuzyna BMW i5 M60 xDrive w kolorze Tansanit (kolor widzicie na zdjęciach). Auto zjechało z taśm w Dingolfing – zakładu, który w ciągu zaledwie kilku lat stał się najważniejszym punktem na mapie elektryfikacji koncernu. Od 2021 roku fabryka ta dostarczyła na rynek ponad 320 tysięcy samochodów bezemisyjnych. Skala tej operacji jest potężna: niemal co szósty w pełni elektryczny samochód BMW wyprodukowany do tej pory na świecie pochodzi właśnie z tej jednej lokalizacji.

Tylko w 2025 roku pojazdy z napędem elektrycznym stanowiły tam ponad jedną czwartą całej produkcji. Dingolfing udowodniło, że potrafi sprawnie składać obok siebie tak skrajnie różne modele jak luksusowe i7, użytkowe i5 czy futurystyczne iX.

Hazard, który się opłacił: strategia jednej linii

Największy sukces BMW nie tkwi jednak w samej liczbie sprzedanych aut, ale w sposobie, w jaki są one budowane. W momencie, gdy najwięksi konkurenci inwestowali miliardy w dedykowane, sztywne platformy tylko dla aut elektrycznych, BMW wybrało model mieszany w ramach koncepcji iFACTORY. Była to decyzja pod prąd – ryzykowna, bo oznaczała brak pełnej specjalizacji konstrukcyjnej i potencjalnie wyższe koszty jednostkowe.

Dziś widać, że ten strategiczny hazard stał się polisą ubezpieczeniową marki. Samochody spalinowe, hybrydowe i elektryczne powstają w ramach tego samego systemu na jednej linii produkcyjnej. To jasny sygnał rynkowy: BMW nie jest zakładnikiem jednej technologii.

Jeśli popyt na auta na prąd nagle wyhamowuje, fabryka po prostu zwiększa produkcję hybryd, unikając miliardowych strat związanych z przestojami. Dzięki temu elektromobilność stała się dla Niemców bezpieczną normą, a nie ryzykiem, które przy pierwszym spowolnieniu rynku trzeba by było wygaszać.
