I find it difficult to see the value in paying a premium solely for a badge that signifies perceived authenticity and visibility on a corporate platform. I believe that our genuine selves shouldn't be subject to additional charges. As a result, I have decided to direct my support and resources elsewhere.

The other place has got *really* blue-ticky. By that I mean twitter shows me replies from 8 blue tick anti-vaxxers rather than replies from people I might want to engage with. I don't know how twitter used to choose which replies to show me, and it was probably bad, but now it's really bad. #twitter #musk #bluetick

@damovisa the difference might be that they plan to do some verification, using Government issued ID, instead of just whacking a blue tick on a profile picture!

They'll also require the user profile picture to show the user's real face.

To qualify for #TwitterCommunityNotes you need
- a #twitter account more than 6 months old
- a phone number attached to it
- no recent activity reported (offensive, spam, etc.)
- and you need to sign up

But there's a waiting period AND THEN you can't write notes until you've rated dozens of other notes.

So, a lot of people can't do anything other than a reply tweet that just gets buried under the #BlueTick noise.
