Okay so my Windows 11 machine is throwing a bluescreen if I close Baldurs Gate 3 with Steam remote play active.
The dump file points to the kernel crashing on a task to clear the input buffer. I could reproduce this issue until updating to the steam beta.
But today the game crashed with an Vulkan API issue showing a popup with the crash information. As soon as I clicked OK the Larian launcher was shown followed by the bluescreen.What a strange issue.

As I tooted yesterday, my colleague upgraded #Windows10 to #Windows11 yesterday and knocked out his forensic workstation with it.
After having one #bluescreen after the other he finally found the reason today. It's the monitors. If they are attached during boot --> bluescreen
If they are removed pre boot and attached after the boot process finished --> everything's fine (except it's still Windows).
He made the joke that Win11 might have become sentient... and it's ashamed to be watched getting dressed.

Le fameux "blue screen of death" (que je vois souvent dans les aéroports aux US) va disparaître et être remplacé par un écran noir plus sobre.
Plus discret, plus classe, mais au final, ça reste le même problème derrière xD
