  1. I wonder if this command still works. Out of 4 trail segments, I am missing one of the gpx versions though I do have the csv in the same 2021 timeframe.

    #BluePencil keep on

    20210318.txt:$ '/cygdrive/c/Program Files (x86)/GPSBabel/gpsbabel.exe' -i unicsv -f legacy-trails-segment-4.csv -o gpx -F segment4.gpx

  2. I am going to need a little perspective on this, as the information from our electric company is presented in a manner I cannot fathom. It looked fine until I saw the 11 pm (2300) marker far offshore.

EDIT (1): This "infographic (sic)" *should* show 24-hour energy use with an added bonus of 3-TIER pricing and ~5-ish cost timeframes.
Dark blue cheapest (night-time, EV plugged in)
    Yellow: Middling? Commute?
Light blue: middle of the day, most expensive.

  3. This goes half-way round a square column in the #Spotlighters square stage. I thought they called it a "*pool cover*". It is a "pole cover" or "pillar cover" as better descriptions. A #SetPiece

  4. "POSTSCRIPT CHARACTER ENCODING FOR INTERNATINOAL CHARACTERS"

    #BluePencil

    INTER Natinoal?

    From bourbon.usc.edu/tgif/download.

  5. "Your Invitated to Baltimore’s Wildest Night of the Year!"

    Ouch.

  6. Philly Museum of Art writes:

"Rodin Gardin Bar is back on May 29!"

    A fair typo.

  7. Sir David Frederick Attenborough voice-over: "The wily pink panther will often shed its outer insulation layer, leaving it in obscure windblown locations, in order to maintain its privacy."

    Edit: not Richard A...

  8. "Last Call for Standard Shipping for Mom"--with air holes in the carton, I hope?

  9. "One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest"

    That's not quite it.

  10. Five similar emails sent to around 20 people for the #Spotlighters web updates; now waiting to spot (pun intended) how many gaffes and typos I made. #BluePencil

  11. @kimlockhartga I will admit to penciling an occasional correction in a public library book, as a public service.

  12. Another recent discovery: a "blue pencil" is 50-70% red.
Pull yourself together, English, you're losing your grip on reality.

  13. That liquid and suspended solids and detritus that backs up in the gutters (roof or street), what do you call it other than gutter water? Any besides these 4, comment please?

Edit. If it had a soundtrack it would be #Zappa 's 'Stinkfoot.'

  14. Er. I should probably let someone know about this mess.

  15. First things first upon gaining access to a new client system, add suffixes. This suffices. #BluePencil

  16. The feeling when someone finds a typo in your document that has been there for 4 successive years unnoticed.

  17. Trying out an app for a conference in #Baltimore and mostly like the hook to "my calendar" (always a chore with multiple schedules), but would have liked a "no thanks" choice here.

Edit: "no reminder" means do not add to calendar. #BluePencil

  18. The Demoniac Republic? New one on my map...

  19. I'm not sure how many times I looked at this sign before seeing the typo.

  20. Reading the recent Martin Cruz Smith tale of Renko in Ukraine.

"It was a big motorcycle, Arkady saw, but she road it with ease."

  21. "The Cyclopedia was compiled by Sam Loyd's son (Sam Loyd, Jr., but he dropped the Jr. before the book was published) after his death in 1914."

  22. Baltimore. The City That Reads. Just need more proof reading.

  23. I think this #BluePencil error is a modern, google one, rather than some of the 19th and 20th century typographical errors I have found on a research project. The "Fifth Street" = "First Street" flub must be due to machine misreading some map source, because I am pretty sure the town wasn't laid out with logic traps. #GIS

  24. I don't know if this qualifies as a #BluePencil moment or not. In the #UnitedStates you often find sewer or storm drain service ports (AKA manhole covers) made by Neenah Foundry in Wisconsin. Not so much anymore. Here is an Anne Arundel County cover, but in Caroline County #Maryland.

    Not infrastructure week, exactly.
