Throwback Thursday: 2022 Bluecoats 50th Anniversary Alumni Corps
Lucas Oil Stadium came up on one of the bar TVs tonight as ESPN covers the NFL Combine, but I’m thinking back to my time in that stadium and on that field with the Bluecoats Alumni Corps back in 2022. Hey Jude is playing in the bar as I write this, in fact.

It’s Memorial Day here in the United States. This weekend serves as the unofficial start of summer for the country, as schools start to let out for their summer breaks. Backyard barbecues abound, families take time off from work to go on vacations, and, for me, the 2024 North America drum corps season starts!
Many drum corps across the country have already started their seasons, moving into various locations to begin their month long preparations for their seasons. As the drill sets and choreo are learned while much water is consumed and sunscreen is applied, I’m scanning the schedule to see what shows I will attend.
This season, I have performances on my schedule once again. While I am retired from marching after the 2022 Bluecoats Alumni Corps, I am going to play with the 10th anniversary Bluecoats Legacy Arc. If you’re at any of our performances, which I’ll detail in my schedule below, please be sure to check us out and say hello if you’re able.
Here are the events I plan on attending this season:

- 12PM-2PM – Bluecoats Legacy Arc Rehearsal
- June 28
- 9AM-4PM – Bluecoats Legacy Arc Rehearsal – Alliance High School – Alliance, OH
- 7PM-9PM – Bluecoats Homecoming Welcome Reception – Mount Union College – Alliance, OH
- 10:00 PM – Bluecoats Homecoming After Party – Buffalo Wild Wings – Alliance, OH
- June 29
- 9AM-3PM – Bluecoats Legacy Arc Rehearsal – Alliance High School – Alliance, OH
- 6PM-9PM – Bluecoats Opening Night – Mount Union College – Alliance, OH
- 7:15 PM – Bluecoats Legacy Arc Performance
- 9:30 PM – Bluecoats History Night and Legacy Arc Performance – Mount Union College – Alliance, OH
- 11:30 PM – Bluecoats Homecoming After Party – Naborhood Inn – Alliance, OH
- June 30
- 11AM-1PM – Bluecoats Alumni Brunch – Gervasi Vineyard – Canton, OH
- 5PM-9:30 PM – Bluecoats Party in the Park – Centennial Park – Canton, OH
