Ah oui j'vous ai pas raconté ! 🤓

Lundi après-midi je suis donc allé dans la classe de Minipousse pour une activité « #BlueBot » mais y'avait également le jeu « #ScottieGo ! » pour initier les gamin·es au #Scratch … ce qui me paraissait un brin ambitieux au début pour des enfants de 7 ans.

C'est une (grande) classe de 32 élèves, on était donc deux parents en plus de l'institutrice et de l'animatrice de la communauté de communes …

Cas particulier cette année, Fiston a comme institutrice une amie … et celle-ci m'a demandé si je pouvais aider dans la classe pour une activité #BlueBot la semaine prochaine, et j'ai dit oui bien sûr.

Quelqu'un·e d'entre vous a déjà manipulé ce genre de bestiole ? 🤓

Nous avons démarré le travail sur les chemins de cases : #bluebot doit aller butiner une fleur puis doit rentrer à la ruche. #anticipation et #reflexion, test avec essais-erreurs pour arriver au but !

Finally got the #bluebot Android app! It's so much better than the old app experience (which I had to use on my iPad since there wasn't an Android client before). Pretty excited!

I wasn't able to use #flume because our water meter wasn't compatible. Bluebot is cool b/c it's universal, easily removable if necessary and no subscription fees: only issue is that it only tracks the pipe going into our house, not the irrigation line (would need another bluebot for that).

We're searching for the right sizes of stuff that can be pushed with the bulldozer cover on those robots. I think I've found the perfect one, a lightweight plastic bowl of 12 by 12 cm in diameter. (The grid is 15 by 15) We can do the perfect Sokoban scenario with this.

Coworker volunteered to paint the bowl. He loves to be creative with his hands. ;)

I also decided to check out which of the Blue-Bots are calibrated by letting them rotate 4 times to form a circle. The new penholders are great for this.

Number 3 and 5 have the worst results (the circles aren't closed at all) so I've put them aside as they won't be great to test with. I'll have to examine them sometime.

My coworker is very enthusiastic about the new accessoires we got for the Blue-Bot and we both had plenty of ideas. So our first step is to prepare a whiteboard with a grid so we can try to put our ideas at work.
Chances are we can create some lesson materials, we have the means to do so.

Been testing out the new pen holders for the Blue-Bots. Don't mind the schematics of something else on the smaller piece of paper, that is for the Tovertafel (magic table) which we're also busy with setting up.

Anyway, yeah, you can see in the bigger piece of paper that the drawing went out of bounds. I had to scrub the floor clean. 😬 😅

We've got some nice plans for this one, kinda in the idea of tangram. We'll make a few pre-defined drawings, and then the kids can try and replicate it on their own with those robots.

Of course they can also make their own drawings. 😋
