Some wildflowers and footbridges from last Sunday's river walk 👆.

Love to show the huge (I mean HUGE) swaths of wildflowers but sadly I don't know how to take good pictures of an expanse. However I hope the background in the first pic helps appreciate the vastness, and the second pic gives an idea of the density and vividity of the vegetation.

I love the "weeping willow" in front of the bridge in # 3.

OK who can solve the mystery of the Texas Bluebonnet. There are two distinct flowers each in a different genus and family that are called Texas Bluebonnet. One is in the genus Lupinus, the other in Gentiana. They look totally different but both have intense blue flowers. The Texas state flower looks to be the one in the Lupine genus. Why is the other also named Texas Bluebonnet?
