Glorious, simply glorious. Of course I rode!
Worryingly local boronias that used to flower in October were out in abundance & smelling beautiful. So much spring!
St Helena ridge firetrail & back. Mostly firetrail with some fun overgrown singletrack. My handguards earned their keep today! Sadly, they didn't prevent one tree trying to rip my helmet & sunnies off, stealing my inexpensive earphone. It's gone, I searched. 🤷

A surprise visitor today! I often hear frogs, but rarely see them. Good thing I had a torch or I might have stepped on it!
I believe this is a burrowing frog—an Eastern Banjo Frog (Limnodynastes dumerilii), also known as a pobblebonk.

I rode to Lake Woodford again.
Spring is sprung.
It was nice out in the bush, & spring is really putting the hammer down, with bursts of yellow, red, cream, purple, & blue popping out everywhere. Here are just a few.
I had fun. No crashes. Well OK, there *was* a little blood, but only a SPuD stack caused by poor line choice on a slow technical climb & failure to unclip in time. No real injury. 'Tis but a scratch, etc. SPuDs aren't crashes! 😂
