Das in Deutschland entwickelte "Extreme Assault" war eines der coolsten 3D-Actionspiele des Jahres 1997 und gleichzeitig eines der letzten Spiele, die damals noch für MS-DOS erschienen sind.
Die Handbücher hatte ich ja schon vor einer Weile gescannt und im Internet Archive hochgeladen, jetzt gibt es auch die CD-ROMs in deutscher und englischer Sprache. Inklusive sämtliche Updates und NoCD-Cracks.

There‘s a version of The Settlers (Die Siedler) for Nintendo DS. Usually, PC game releases for NDS are somehow comicified remakes. And while the game box suggests exactly that, the actual game surprisingly is a direct port of the 1996 DOS version of The Settlers II: Veni Vidi Vici! 🤩

Some insight into the disaster that became “The Settlers: New Allies”.
I didn’t expect it to be one of the most expensive German video games ever made, I guess the numerous delays and changes of direction are responsible for that.
With Daedalic out of game development and The Settlers tragedy, 2023 sure wasn’t a good year for German video game studios.
