Wilder Take der #BLT : Die BLT legt ab nächster Woche sämtliche Abfahrtszeiten um 1 Minute vor, um in Liestal perrongleiche, inoffizielle 1-Minuten-Umstiege auf IC- und IR-Züge Richtung Basel zu ermöglichen. (an > ab zu den Minuten 03 > 05, 33 > 34 & 48 > 49)

Die Anschlüsse werden im SBB-Fahrplan aber weiterhin nicht angezeigt, da die Mindestumstiegszeit unterschritten wird.

Also eine offizielle Anpassung um etwas Inoffizielles inoffiziell neu zu ermöglichen.

The 1970s and 1980s articulated Be4/6 and 4/8 #Schindler #trams have become a rare sight on the #Basel🇨🇭#BLT urban and suburban network. (They are primarily high-floor vehicles.) Very much to the railfan’s delight I was lucky catching one this afternoon, working a “line 17” peak-time service.

A #BLT🇨🇭#Basel area line 17 peak-time service, seen earlier this afternoon leaving #Ettingen. These #Schindler Be4/8 and Be4/6 units are currently being phased out here. They will operate in #Lviv 🇺🇦 in the future. Level boarding, low floor, #Stadler trams are replacing the Schindlers here in Basel.

Da benutzt man halt sein #TNW-Gäste-GA mal, um alle #BLT-Bähnli mal abzufahren, um dann festzustellen, dass die grundsätzlich vielversprechenden Haltestellen wie „Arlesheim Walzwerk“ darum nicht viel hergeben, weil alle Fenster verklebt sind. Aber immerhin war ich heute nicht nur in Deutschland, sondern auch im Kt. Solothurn. Und die obligate Runde im Bruderholz muss auch noch sein.

I contrast build system with script. While a script just runs all the commands according to the code you write, a build system has a means of determining whether a command really has to be run or can be skipped because the input has not changed, so no new output can be expected.

Improvements to bashbuilder, my bash-only build system:

* Adds unit tests with near full coverage.
* Improves testability, which, in general, improves architecture and logic.
* Changes error handling from `set -e`, which is considered BAD, as I learned, to explicit error handling where needed.

Improvements to my bash-only build system:

* All functions provided now consistently have the prefix 'bb', like bbTarget, bbMain etc.
* Using bbImport, though, allows to get rid of them again in a build script, if so preferred.
* Moves most API documentation to doc comments in the script itself.
* So the project now has a build script 😉 called bb, to extract this documentation.

Improvements to my bash-only build system:

* Adds (environment) variables as dependencies/targets on par with files and directories.
* Changes call direction from bashbuilder->buildscript to the reverse. Now bashbuilder is "merely" a library, instead of requiring to be 'main'.
* Adds generated file lists as dependencies/targets.

Spotted at the forecourt of #Basel🇨🇭 SBB station earlier this week: one of the new #BLT #Stadler #trams, named #TINA (for “Total Integrierter Niederflur-Antrieb”) or, in a more prosaic way, Be8/10 Class 4200. They started operating on the Basel area suburban lines 10/17 and 11.

Seen while on a cycling tour in the #Basel🇨🇭 area earlier this afternoon: a #BLT line 10 class Be6/10 #Stadler “Tango” #tram leaves #Ettingen at speed, heading to #Basel. This is the former #Birsigtalbahn narrow gauge line. It is, legally and technically, still considered as a railway.

I don't like #mayonnaise and I only eat it well-blended in #tuna or #potato #salad (with #mustard really helps), or a light layer in a #BLT.

I just used #SourCream to make a tuna salad, and it works great!

It might help that I make a "#spicy" tuna salad, with mustard and #Worcestershire sauce, and sometimes with #RedPepper #flakes and #CelerySeed (not #CelerySalt), like today.

If I add #Tabasco, I don't usually add the red pepper flakes.
