Current king blorbo is Jakurai Jinguji from HypMic; I think about him every day. 💖
• I love how nerdily excited he gets about the most RANDOM topics. He'll somehow connect his present conversation to said random topic and then ramble about it for ten minutes. It's cute. 💖
• He has a pretty dark past that obviously weighs on him, but he works so hard to be kind and understanding even when the situations he ends up in doesn't warrant it (although he doesn't always succeed). It's cute. 💖
• He adopts the people others see as strange or weird and looks out for them as much as they allow him to. It's cute. 💖
Bonus points for having a voice so deep I feel the reverberations in my ribcage whenever I hear him talk. My thanks to Sho Hayami.

I want to introduce you to my current favorite guy - Captain Finnegrin from The Dragon Prince
Sure, he's not a very good person (he's a pirate captain who's done terrible things). However:
1. He's sexy
2. Very charismatic
3. Well mannered
4. Loves and takes care of hermit crabs
5. Manages a whole sea port

- Loki has been a blorbo for forever and day it feels like, and the season finale of his namesake show broke my heart in the best of ways
- the Scott Pilgrim anime reminded me of how much I adore fucking dorky failsons like Scott
- and Ramona, who is now able to own up to her mistakes and learn and heal. What a concept!

Today's #BlorboFromMyShows is Gus from the Netflix series #SweetTooth
My sweet smol deer child. A little boy with a gigantic destiny, Gus is the first of a group of hybrid children born into the world after a plague decimates the human population. Optimistic, and curious, and clever, he just wants to find his place in the new post-apocalyptic world and all he wants is a family, a place to belong. The found family trope is one of my faves, and I'm glad that Gus has found his.

yet another one of those blorbos where the actor is already a fave so I'm predisposed to adoring them.
I love Fennec because she's a survivor, and out of all the Star Wars characters, I gravitate towards the rogues the most, but I like that Fennec has a keen sense of duty as well, beholden to Boba Fett because he saved her life.

I didn't think I could accept any other doctors on the OG Enterprise besides Bones himself but Dr. M'benga is compelling enough to have captured my attention and my heart. He's a soldier, a doctor, and a father. All aspects which epitomize duty and sacrifice. A man who will always put other's needs above his own, even if he suffers for it, because he cares too much. I just love him.

So I have a soft spot for Voyager, even if it isn't as well-loved as the other Star Treks. Seven of Nine was a highlight for me, and I've adored watching her develop from former Borg drone to the newest captain of the Enterprise. She faced a LOT of obstacles on the way, and those struggles were relatable for me.

He has one of the best character development arcs among my blorbo collection. Sure he was kind of the bully character when we first see him, but he's grown into Everyone's Favorite Dad. A legendary glow-up.
Stubborn and street-wise, and completely loyal to his friends. I adore his sense of humor and his friendship with Robin. He could've walked away once she told him she wasn't into him, but he didn't. A true friend!

Today's #BlorboFromMyShows is Jon Snow from the HBO series #GameOfThrones
I have mixed feelings about GoT in general, but certain characters from it still resonate with me, and Jon is one of them. He's a failed failson! My favorite kind! Joking aside, my heart goes out to characters who achieve incredible things despite their circumstances. And with all the talk of destiny in the show, I love that Jon makes a choice to eschew all the talk about Who He Is and focuses on What He Wants.

I hope my inclusion of Young-woo into my blorbo collection isn't viewed as tokenism, but wow, I do adore her. Yes, she's autistic. Yes, she struggles with it sometimes, but it's not what defines her. It's clear that she loves her father deeply, and she loves her job as a lawyer. I appreciate that there's a rom-com K-drama that focuses on a neurodivergent female lead.

A demon spider who resides in a tree, Zabuton is surprisingly willing to help out when an isekai'ed human from Japan decides to build a farm in his new life.
I don't have a fear of spiders, so maybe that's why I adore this gigantic girly. She's so helpful! She's able to spin entire articles of clothing from her silk. I also love how she greets everyone, with a swift raise of her right...leg? idk it's cute.

I was a huge fan of the original Quantum Leap back in the day, and I personally feel like the new show carries the torch of the original very admirably. Ian is a part of the new team in charge of the Quantum Leap project, a programmer with a strong ethical mindset. Oh, and they're non-binary as well! I'm all for seeing more queer representation and having a queer character so prominent in one of my fave shows is fantastic.

Okay so he's still an arrogant, know-it-all prick, but there's something in him that I totally find endearing. His laid-back charm fascinates me. He could come off as just rude and annoying but his attempts at truly helping out his friends (and Gizmo) warms my heart, even when he gets it totally wrong. One of those blorbos who grew on me as the seasons went on.

I mean, he's not even that great of a character. He's only the sidekick, after all, but I have a deep love for the BFF of main characters. They're just there to support, but Itsuki wants to be as great a driver as Takumi, even if he knows he'll never reach that potential. It's enough for him to try and that's why he's a blorbo for me. He's also a really big, goofy, dork and I can't help but find that endearing.

Today's #BlorboFromMyShows is Pelia from the #StarTrek series #StrangeNewWorlds
I've only had her for a few weeks but I already love her! A member of an extremely long-lived alien race, Pelia shows up as the new chief engineer of the Enterprise. Her no-nonsense, seen-it-all personality is refreshing but I adore that she joins the SNW crew because she finds them interesting and entertaining. Another blorbo I love because I've blorbo-ized the actor. Carol Kane is a legend.
