I'm unsure what's going on with me at the moment... as far as I can tell however is that hayfever means that I need to use anti-histamines, which are in turn blocking my sinuses, and causing sleep disturbances including signs of low blood oxygen.

I've been told that at night my snoring is earth shatteringly bad, and includes short periods where I am not breathing.

Blood Oxygen (pulse ox) is back on the Apple Watch (Finally!)

"Apple will introduce a redesigned Blood Oxygen feature for some #AppleWatch Series 9, Series 10, and #Apple Watch Ultra 2 users through an iPhone and Apple Watch software update coming later today."

Users will have access to the redesigned Blood Oxygen feature by updating their paired iPhone to iOS 18.6.1 and their Apple Watch to watchOS 11.6.1.

Other watch options include ECG, #SleepApnea Notifications, Fall Detection, sleep tracking, wrist temperature sensing, Vitals, Noise, Medications, and Mindfulness.

This morning I felt the brain fog drifting in. Out of curiosity, I checked my Apple Watch to see what my blood oxygen levels were. Maybe they'd been bad overnight? No, they'd been good.

So I checked my current blood oxygen levels. They were down to 88%. Yikes!

I spent the next few minutes doing square breathing. I tested again and my blood oxygen was up to 98%. My banks of brain fog dissipated.

What the heck? Do I just stop breathing or something and that's why I can't think for shit? What is this nonsense?

Can someone point me to a reasonably comprehensive summary of the medical community’s current outlook on Apple Watch’s health features?

Specifically I want to know what the current consensus is on:

- The heart rate monitor feature
- Irregular heart rhythm notifications
- ECG feature (new in 2018)
- Blood oxygen sensor accuracy (new in 2020)
