  4. The neo-Nazi organisation Blood and Honour, which is linked to parts of the skinhead music scene, has become the first extreme right-wing group to have financial sanctions imposed by the UK government.

Treasury ministers said they had "reasonable grounds to suspect" Blood and Honour of being involved in "terrorist activities through promoting and encouraging terrorism, seeking to recruit people for that purpose and making funds available for the purposes of its terrorist activities".

The assets freeze - which was extended to all aliases or affiliate groups including Combat 18 and 28 Radio - means nobody in the UK can provide funding or financial services to those named organisations.

This is a different government response from proscription - in which the Home Office issues banning orders on extremist groups.

  5. In the course of the "Day of Honor" Nazifest in Budapest in February 2023, the Hungarian government either arrested or subsequently issued international arrest warrants for a number of people who it says engaged in violence against the event's participants. Several of those people are currently either in custody of Órban's authoritarian state or pending extradition there.

There hasn't been a whole lot of detailed coverage of this stuff in English, so I recently interviewed a member of the Budapest Antifascist Solidarity Committee (BASC) in the hope of getting the word out a bit more widely and clarifying just what happened in Budapest and what has been going on since those events. The good people of @antidotezine were then kind enough to publish that interview today, on the one-year anniversary of Maja's arrest. If you've seen some of the hashtags below and didn't really have the context, this may well clear up a lot of questions.

  13. Detailed rundown of a leading Canadian and international neo-Nazi organizer and his far flung network

    ====

Nippak is a 25-year-old Ontario man who, for years now, has dedicated his life to spreading hatred; he was a founding member of the Canadian offshoot of Atomwaffen, a group that has been connected to five murders and is designated a terrorist organization in Canada. What's more, Nippak isn't just a key player in building the Active Club scene in Canada—he’s helped the group spread overseas as well.

VICE News was able to identify Nippak as a key leader in the Active Club scene and a founding member of Canada’s Atomwaffen cell through interviews with sources in the neo-Nazi community, law enforcement, and researchers, and online posts sources say Nippak wrote. One person familiar with Nippak’s white-supremacist organizing told VICE News he’s obsessed with spreading neo-Nazism.

“This is his life,” this person, who was granted anonymity because of fear of safety, says.”It’s all he does.”

  14. Former Labour Party chair Jeremy Corbyn has written a letter to Home Secretary Suella Braverman about allowing Spanish neo-Nazi Isabel Medina Peralta into the UK. He's right to complain about it, of course, and there's no good reason why Peralta should've been let in. But as damning as his letter is, I think he actually doesn't go far enough and partly misses the point about why Peralta is a dangerous figure and why she should be banned everywhere.

Corbyn argues, correctly, that she's a vicious antisemite and stresses that she was detained in Frankfurt for possession of "a swastika flag, neo-Nazi propaganda leaflets and a copy of 'Mein Kampf'". Bad enough, right? Her own personal website, in both Spanish and English, identifies her in big letters, right at the top, as "Isabel Peralta -- National socialist -- My honour is loyalty", applying a translation of the old SS slogan "Meine Ehre heisst Treue". So there's really no second guessing who she is and what she believes in, if you take just a few seconds to look her up.

But just being a lone Nazi is one thing. Peralta is something even worse. She's a growing international figure working to build an international network of neo-Nazis across Europe. Her own group, Bastión Frontal, has been around for three years and is made up largely of young members of the Falange Española (which still exists!) and Hogar Social, a knock-off of Italy's CasaPound that's largely defunct now. The whole reason she was in Frankfurt is because she was given a kind of "scholarship" by neo-Nazi microparty III. Weg (Third Path) to get some training from them. (Incidentally, Searchlight reports that members of III. Weg were apparently also in the UK for the same event Peralta was speaking at -- by all means, they should also be banned everywhere and hounded any time they show their faces.) Bastión Frontal's social media boasts of its connections with Poland's National Radical Camp (ONR) and Tenesoun in France (a successor group of the banned Bastion Social). I've definitely seen at least one video implying a connection between Bastión Frontal and a group in Ukraine, but I can't find it now, and I haven't seen any further evidence of contact between them. And, of course, Peralta's contacts now include people from the UK's Patriotic Alternative, Blood & Honour, and even the Creativity Movement.

At any rate, it's really dangerous when these kinds of radical reactionary and neo-Nazi groups organize internationally to share ideas, contacts, rhetoric, tactics, and training. In addition to allowing them to build support for one another, it's also a kind of propaganda coup that allows otherwise marginal groups to present themselves as representing a much larger constituency. Bastión Frontal claims a membership in the low 100s -- hardly a mass movement unto themselves -- but through slick video production and the stated support of international groups, they can also claim to be pan-European and assert a kind of authority in pursuit of additional recruits. And all in the service of, in Peralta's own words, "normalizing National Socialism".

Peralta is now banned from entering Germany, and for good reason. The problem with a person like her isn't just that she's a hateful scumfuck, but that she's an organized, networked hateful scumfuck. People like her need to be impeded and combated at every opportunity.

  19. Some good commentary on Germany’s Hammerskins ban and the accompanying raids. The main question this article raises is: Why now? Blood & Honour has been banned in Germany since 2000 and Combat 18 was finally banned in 2020. Particularly given that all three had connections with the National Socialist Underground (NSU), which murdered 10 people, bombed several buildings, and generally terrorized non-white people across the country between 2000 and the group’s demise in 2011, this ban is very long overdue, yet right now is sort of a random moment for this to happen.

In particular, the author asks why leading figures in the Hammerskins’ music business in the states of Bremen and Lower Saxony weren’t raided. Their homes would have likely unearthed useful evidence. The fact that they were left alone raises questions about just how coordinated the police really were in different locations around the country. It also stirs suspicion that the ban and the connected raids may actually have been rushed and incomplete, despite the late date.

One curious facet of all of this is that Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (a Social Democrat) is currently up for reelection. She is responsible for imposing the ban.

The questions raised here can’t really be answered except by the Ministry of the Interior, but in any event, the author concludes that, while yesterday was a bad day for the Hammerskins, it nonetheless wasn’t necessarily a shining moment for the authorities involved.

Dort heißt es unter anderem: „Fighting for our nation, fighting against the scum, If you see the hate in our face, you should better run, Fighting for better nations, we want our cities clean, This is the terrormachine, this is Combat 18!“. In „Ready for War“ singt er „We are full of hate for you, C18 stands on our banner, A radical army for freedom, aryan blood, pride and honour“. Weiterhin heißt es dort: „We are Combat 18, who the fuck are you?“.

Ebenso das Chiffre „28FF28“, was ebenfalls „Blood&Honour Forever, Forever Blood&Honour“ bedeutet.
