Mistigram: @blippypixel drew this animated #BBCMicro high resolution graphics screen entitled “Always” in memory of the 72 people killed in London’s horrific 2017 #GrenfellTower fire nine years ago on this date. It was included in the MIST0822 artpack collection released four years ago.

Mistigram: to tell the truth, we haven’t the foggiest idea when or even if we included this #BBCMicro high resolution graphics landscape by @blippypixel in an artpack, but if we did it would have been back in the twenty teens when our paths first crossed. But as we have since shared over a thousand screens by him, why not one more? This cavern features a little rainbow, we like to think for Pride.

Mistigram: In honour of the Stonewall riots of 1969, #Pride has traditionally been celebrated in the month of June. This #BBCMicro hirez screen by @blippypixel, titled “Time Traveler”, has no explicit Pride content, but I like to take #rainbow iconography and run with it. (The depressing thing here is that we don’t know if the traveler is going forward or backward in time to find their rainbow destination.) This piece was included in the new science fiction-themed MIST0524 artpack collection.

Mistigram: @blippypixel brings his #teletext editor back to the #AndyWarhol well for one final take on serially repetitive permutations on iconic topics — here none other than the Covid-19 coronavirus, whose 15 minutes of fame have certainly overstayed their welcome. As the compromised host cells of an infected and contagious person turn into virus factories, a metaphor resonates with Warhol’s name for his screenprinting print shop studio — also called “The Factory”… as is this screen, which was included in the recent fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack collection.
