It is! It was a kit from #Blenderz fabric recyclers on Gateway Boulevard. They have a lot of great upcycling projects as well as classes that you can take using their equipment. A very large portion of my projects have been made using their fabrics.

#Blenderz is amazing! Like the refill stores, I hope it's a concept that will take off and spread. We're living through times of extreme excess and I'd love to see that change.

It's probably completely different but #Blenderz on Gateway Boulevard has looms you can rent to weave rag rugs. They're an amazing #FabricRecycling venture.

@ECityMom I've never made one but I'm pretty sure that part of the whole concept of a rag rug is that they're made from rags. I think they're braided together and then stitched. #Blenderz has classes, with materials included. https://www.blenderzgarmentrecyclers.com/shop/rug-classes/24

@Justmemanok #Blenderz will sell you boxes of used jeans or knits as well. I'm working my way through knits at this point, but not very quickly. The machines at the library have better stitches for that than mine, an elderly Elna.

That sounds great! I'm very curious to know more. One game-changer for me was finding #Blenderz on Calgary Trail. They sell 2-foot cube boxes of recycled fabric of various sorts for $20!! I'm still working on the box of sheets that I bought early in the year. That's given me a lot more confidence to try out new patterns, making wearable toiles. I had a lot of help from Ron Collins at Central to adjust a bodice to my liking, although I still need to fix my dart!
