Last day in the #EdenValley so packed a fair bit in today. Hiked up to #HighCupNick in the morning and then walked around the Upper Eden valley in the afternoon. A sprinkling of snow and brilliant clear sunshine helped amplify the sublime views. #WildBoarFell and the #Blencathra range omnivisible.

@daveyspeedstar Sunday lunch was half of a sandwich on todays #run which didn’t really go to plan! Got to the summit of #Blencathra just about in one piece after a very icy scramble up from Threkeld, but ended up taking a massive diversion through semi frozen bogs to find a crossing over the river #Caldew in full spate. Ended up completing the run with a head torch for the last several miles. Did manage to get burger & chips in a pub in #Keswick, so worked out ok in the end

@hastingsmothman hats off to you, young man! I think I take too long to warm up to do shorts below 10 degrees C. However today going up #Blencathra I think it’s OK to wear tights. But what is it with wearing the shorts over #running tights?
