This base set Blastoise card is very special to me, not just because it's a shadowless, something I realised many years after obtaining it, but because of the person who gave it to me.

An online friend of mine called Jesse would trade, gift or sell Pokémon related items with me in the mail, and this was one of the trading cards he sent to me.

I learned that Jesse passed away a few years ago, which was devastating for me at the time. Sometimes I flip through my folder and see this card, and I am reminded of the friendship we had back then.
