  1. #NowPlaying Feeling in the mood for some #Fushitsusha heaviness. This is “Purple Trap” (The Wound That Was Given Birth to Must Be Bigger Than the Wound That Gave Birth), a double CD released in 1995 by #BlastFirst, recorded live in London. youtube.com/watch?v=lNapiEhiLA

  2. #Upcoming Legendary bootleg of #SonicYouth’s ripping 1985 UK performances (which led to the band parting ways with Paul Smith and his #BlastFirst label) have been officially reclaimed and remastered by the band for the first time. 3. @REEL

I could be wrong but it feels to me like the late '70s, when punk arrived and then, more importantly for me, all the post-punk '80s indie labels.

    That gave us #Mute, #TwoTone, #Stiff, #TouchAndGo, #K, #Postcard, #CherryRed, #Creation, #SarahRecords, #SubwayRecords, #BlastFirst and all the others. It was great until they folded / were bought by majors.

I feel like the #Fediverse might be that again but for where we are now.

Something that cannot be bought, cannot be centralised.
