I took #BlankCheck covering the Coens as an opportunity to watch the 11 films I'd missed, rewatch a few that hadn't worked for me the first time, and relive the ones that did.
It turns out my opinion aligns with the consensus: they're brilliant! What a gift for dialog and staging and worldbuilding.
Llewyn remains my number 1 with a bullet, but the rest are hard. They've only one truly bad movie, as I even get value from the weaker entries.

I am three episodes into Twin Peaks: The Return, and I am BAFFLED. This show is critically acclaimed? Really? So far, it seems like a bunch of random and meaningless bullshit only barely tangentially related to the show or movie.
I'm gonna keep watching, as I'm following along with Blank Check. But the beginning of this series doesn't give me much hope.

Started watching Twin Peaks yesterday. I'd seen the pilot in university, but it didn't do anything for me.
I can see why younger me didn't get it, but I'm 100% on-board now
The creeping dread, the hilariously weird characters and out of place lines, the building complexities of life where everyone knows each other (despite the pop. being 30,000).
And the way the mystery feels like it's gonna be secondary to uncovering the myriad secrets of the town's inhabitants.
