hey blambers, I am returning to hard tech studies. I need a new favorite programming language to restart the fundamentals computational knowledge. I used to study computer science with C and C++ but I do not want break my head into pieces of shit again to earn money with a tech entry-level job.
Some of you have any idea what the most common language to grab my first entry-level job as a Software Engineer or something like that?
By now, I am applying to IT Support roles.

This USB cable tester is very convenient to keep around. It will help you clarify any doubts you might have as to whether you have the wrong cable (USB 2/3/4) or just a bad one (just power).
Sadly it also helped me realize that all my spare USB cables are either 2.0 or power only. But okay, knowing is half the battle.

Po, o cliente rest que eu mais gostava, o Insomnia, deixou de ter versão pra ARM no flathub. Vacilo. Eu cheguei a pensar "Ah, besteira, é só escolher outro". Mas não achei um legal disponível pra arm64. Acontece que olhei o site do projeto deles e tinha instruções pro desenvolvimento. Fiz então git clone, npm install e npm run sei lá o que. Agora ta funcionando de novo aqui no orange pi 5. Tinha esquecido que eu era hacker 😂

Gente hacker, eu to usando um debian 13 stable como meu videogame. Ele fica atrás da TV. Em geral o desempenho é ótimo, mas ontem eu vi que ao chegar na cidade de novigrad no witcher 3 enhanced o fps caiu muito. Tive que desligar o ray tracing pro desempenho ficar bom de novo
Eu tava feliz com repositório trixie-backports, mas fui reparar que que o driver que to usando ainda é o mesa 25.2, mas já tem o 26.1 no debian testing. E sei que tem vantagens de desempenho específicas pra ray tracing nessa versão
Que faço? Atualizo pro debian testing que nem um louco? Ou tem outra maneira de conseguir esse mesa 26?

semanas atrás pedi ajuda aqui com um problema de configuração de apt corrompida no mint; segui os conselhos dados (obrigada, galera!) e de início não deu certo. rodei de novo os comandos, zerei as configurações, optei pelos repositórios padrão, e funcionou por uns dias. agora voltou a mensagem de erro :bozo: #blambers

This thing here is something the #GNOME project always did; I'm glad gettext is helping making it default behavior:
"In a po/ directory, the PO files are now exactly those that the translators submitted or committed in version control, or a translation project's daemon committed on behalf of the translators. They are no longer regularly updated with respect to the POT file in the same directory."

As a #RDataTable translator and, more importantly, as a former #GNOME translator, I'm happy with the 1.0 release of gettext, an incredibly good internationalization and localization toolkit. If your software project is not using gettext yet, do consider changing that.
