Forged in Steel ending, ie the way the game was meant to be played.
I loved every second of this amazing game. It consumed me until I finished it.
My only tiny criticism is that it’s a bit too big, and could’ve been half its length.
Still, absolutely superb game and such intricate maps and levels that twist and turn and come back on themselves to rival even the best FromSoftware game.
10 out of 10.
PS: not gonna platinum it. I’d need another 10 or so hours and I’m good.

Blades of Fire not being a Souls like paid off with it's satisfying combat without it being ridiculously unbalanced for the sake of it. Instead it will test you understanding of weapons, positioning and you skills in crafting weapons for the situation.

I finally found* my way into tge next area of #BladesOfFire, and now that I'm finally getting used to the controls and combat style, I'm having a really good time!
Combat is excellent, I have to keep thonking about positioning, tipe of attack, direction, and enemy weaknesses. For example, if I'm using a spear I could do a sweep attack and hot multiple enemies at a time, but that won't work in this room, there are too many colums and the spear will get stuck, so I'd better change to thrusting attacks. And this enemy is only weak to spears in the head, so I can only do high attacks... Also, they've somehow managed to make all weapons fun to use. I wouldn't usually choose double daggers as my weapon, but here it's pretty cool to use them!
As for the map design, it is sometimes confusing, but it is cramped with side paths with secrets and loot, looping paths that interconnect each area nicely, and a lot of things to see.
So yeah, I'm super happy with this game!

I've been making some progress in #BladesOfFire and I'm having a great time. Combat is super tense, and it does extremely well in differentiating itself from other soulslikes by having a very unique combat style.
But at the same time, right now it is hard to the point of frustration. Dying means loaing your weapon, and more often than not that one is the one that is actually good against the type of enemy you're facing in the area... Which means that either you have two of each (in this economy??) or you'll have to dash through the area to recover it, easily risking ending up with a mob behind you.
Still, I guess it's a matter of getting used to the game (I've only played for a couple of days so far), but it looks very promising, and the areas look stunning 😍
