Zero session last night and trying our hand at a multiverse jumping series of #ttrpg s. #SpeedRune remains as our rules-light origin game for this second try, and I pulled an enchanted defense scenario out of a D&D third post random tables book.
One of us is excited to create a pantheon from the runic powers and another is a first time player. Figured on meeting every couple of weeks and maybe #yazebasbedandbreakfast, #bladesinthdark, or #thequietyear are up next. #indieTTRPGs #indiettrpg

Another in-person playtest complete for An Empire Divided (working title), the Romance of the Three Kingdoms-inspired FitD.
This time I added character creation and a real faction playbook for the first time!

Second table now, with a completely separate group of players from last time, that I have run FitD with 7+ players- I feel like I should write a blog or something about how to make it work (if only I knew wtf I was doing). At this point I think I have run more sessions with 6+ than I have with 3-5!
But now I have some co-DMs and we're going to mercilessly cut down the table size, which is a huge relief!

I'm a little worried that I'll get a lot of pushback that "Blades doesn't need a combat system" or "I don't understand FitD", but I think if people take the time to understand what I want out of this module, it'll make sense.
For fiction where a specific form of conflict is central to the story, it makes sense to expand that mechanic. e.g., if you were playing a FitD about a crew of dancers who do competitive dance-offs, I would want some mechanics around that
