Today we are asking you to do something different for your Resist of the Day.
Standing in solidarity with Black Voters Matter (https://blackvotersmatterfund.org), we would like to turn your attention to their "We Ain't Buying It Campaign."
This pledge asks each person to shift their holiday spending from corporate to local and black / minority owned as much as possible. Will it require some thoughtfulness and a bit of work? Maybe. But we at Resist of the Day think this campaign is worth sharing.
We Ain't Buying It: A Pledge for Economic Power and Collective Community
Please consider signing the We Ain’t Buying It pledge with Black Voters Matter — a commitment to use our collective economic power to demand justice, equity, and real community investment.
We Ain’t Buying It isn’t just about saying “no” to corporate greed and their sidelining of DEI initiatives — it’s about saying “yes” to businesses that respect, invest in, and stand with the people of the global majority.
By signing, you’re pledging to spend intentionally, support local businesses that pour money back into our neighborhoods, and ensure every dollar reflects your values.
We’re not just consumers — we’re community builders. Let’s make every dollar count.
This holiday shopping season, please remember that where you put your money matters. Join me and take the pledge today.
