I've been decluttering the house. Somebody thought the bottom shelf of the bookcase was made for her. I added a towel for a little padding, and wasn't finished straightening it before Samantha "moved in." She likes the privacy of the doggy gate so I left it.

The next project? A custom pillow with a fleece cover. Even old black cats rule the house (especially when Halloween is approaching).

We just finished the torrential rain. Tomorrow morning, the "hotter than hell" heat warning comes back. The humidity is already 83 percent. If this is the new normal, we want to send it back.
