Well, OK, even if I AM the only #Blackboard user in the Fediverse, I am going to tell you that #BbT26 was very good. Much better without all the strobe lights and cover bands and motivational speakers that came along with being part of a big corporation that was focused on marketing & recruitment more than teaching & learning.

When asked about automatically converting #Blackboard or #Canvas courses to #Moodle in the past I have suggested not trying it. My advice was to convert by hand or re-create because courses need updating regularly anyway.

However I was talking to a very respected and experienced developer at MoodleMootDach26 who has a service that does exactly that.

Шестьдесят дней назад я держал всю координацию своего SaaS в голове. Двенадцать вкладок Claude Code, в каждой своя роль: тимлид, аналитик, тестировщик, медиабайер. Я переключался между ними и был единственным местом, где эти вкладки узнавали друг о друге. Сейчас в очереди 1002 задачи, из них 954 закрыты. Медиана от постановки до закрытия составляет 47 минут. Вся координация умещается в 600 строк Python на стандартной библиотеке и один markdown-файл. Статья про то, как устроена координация. Не про то, что я попробовал модный инструмент, и без советов «промптите лучше».Три подхода, которые не сработали. Один, который сработал. Отказ, стоивший мне двух рабочих окон. И метрики, которые я не приукрашивал. Кода в открытом доступе нет, это внутренний инструмент, а не библиотека. Но механизмы я показываю снипетами, их хватит, чтобы собрать своё.

In 2026, Blackboard one of the common Learning Management Systems (LMS) is forcing everyone to upgrade to "Blackboard Ultra" an upgraded version.

One of the things this means is that we'll have AI features now as a teacher. You can have AI create your rubrics and create test questions and suggest content.

So if WE use AI as teachers and students use AI to cheat. Who is doing ANY amount of work here?
