I organised a little outdoor adventure for my two younger kids.
My youngest had requested for:
- sleeping under the stars
- short hike
- sun set visible
- milky way visible
- sunrise visible
After studying the maps, I found a spot:
- small cablecar brought us up to 2000m
- a short 3.5km hike
- a plateau not visible from the hiking trail
- free view westwards
- north and eastwards after climbing up a little bit

The weather was more wet than hoped for, but we had a nice rainbow, the milky way after 10 in the evening and a great sunrise.

Evening by the lake. A perfect bivy spot, the lake is often the natural end of a day on the bike. A quick dip in the fresh water, a bit of fishing, and long minutes spent staring at the calm surface as the day fades away.

Does anyone have any advice on #bivouac and #wildcamping in #Czechia and #austria? Im planning out a solo hike from #Prague to #Vienna using the Greenway route (GWPW) and there's no way i can guarantee I'll find accommodation every night. I plan on packing an ultralite single person tent (920grams!) So my footprint will be minimal. Any advice would be appreciated, including general advice.
