The steepness of the High Street is clear. Bishops Castle still has a variety of shops and even a bank still open. Well worth a visit.

Walkers are Welcome town - Bishop’s Castle.

Bishop’s Castle is a small market town on the Wales/England border surrounded by stunningly beautiful hill country, most of it in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

There are also many festivals and events in the town from the Real Ale Trial to Midsummer Rejoicing.
